Deb Scott is the author of the book,  “The Sky is Green and the Grass is Blue – Turning Your Upside-Down World Right-Side-Up!”. She is also a Certified Professional Coach who specializes in working with individuals, businesses, and corporate environments to transform ineffective group and personal dynamics into high-powered individuals and teams.

A biology major in college, Deb became an award-winning sales and leadership specialist.  After 20 years of background in cardiac surgery sales, she now applies her sales and business background to motivational speaking and consulting. She speaks and writes about how you can turn things around whether you’re in sales, marketing, advertising, hiring, or team building.

She is the host of The Best People We Know online radio show, a top-rated show on Blog Talk Radio with over a half million listeners. She also runs the Green Sky and Blue Grass web site.

During the interview, Deb talks about the various life lessons she has learned and applied in her life. She emphasizes getting out there and giving of yourself to others. As she says, “We do need to share our shine. As much as we don’t think it matters, it does because each person will touch somebody in a unique way. If I think about the different experiences that have changed my life, in many cases, in most cases, I’ve never even met that person!

“I’m a quote addict, and I recently saw something on Facebook called ‘Famous Failures’. It was about all these people, famous people that we all know: Walt Disney, Lucille Ball, Michael Jordan, etc. Most people listening would say, ‘Hey, I recognize that name! That was a successful person.’

“Then you read how they got fired, they got kicked off the team, they suffered all these things. When we understand some of the obstacles and the tragedies, the sufferings, and the sorrows they went through … Wow! Doesn’t that say, ‘Hey! I’m not finished yet! I’m not at the end of my story. I’m still writing the chapters in my book!’ There’s something I can learn there.”

Deb “walks the walk” having overcome sexual abuse, a dysfunctional family, others’ alcoholism, depression, being the sole care giver to both her parents, and financial devastation.

If you want to turn your life around, turn suffering and tragedy into happiness, success, and joy, this is an interview you will not want to miss.
