Listeners will remember that we had David Bennett, who survived two near-death experiences, on the show twice so far. Well, it turns out that David is not the only interesting published author in the family. Cindy Griffith-Bennett is the author of the soon-to-be-released book, Soul Soothers: Mini Meditations for Busy Lives.
Cindy is a professional psychic and spiritual counselor who helps her clients remove blockages by intuitively focusing on their strengths, allowing them to move forward and achieve what they want in life. She tells us today about her book and about her insights and experiences that come from practicing her craft.
She is not the first person in her family to discover that she has psychic abilities. As so often happens, her grandfather, “thwarted a bank robbery” by describing to police the exact sequence of events in the robbery. His version was so accurate that they originally considered him a suspect in the case!
She is a firm believer in meditation because of all the benefits it has, including physiological benefits, but sometimes people find that it’s hard to find time to meditate. Fortunately, she has come up with a really great alternative.
Cindy advocates doing what she calls, “mini-meditations” throughout the day, particularly for those people who find they have trouble making time to meditate. She says, “I love being able to do a breathing meditation as I’m walking from my car into the store, or doing an observation meditation [while] waiting for someone at the mall. There are wonderful ways we give our bodies, minds, and souls that relaxation and mindful awareness [meditation provides] without sitting!”
